The 46-year-old "School Of Rock" star is expected to join "Central Intelligence" duo Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart for the new take on the 1995 adventure fantasy movie, The Wrap reported.
Jake Kasdan is set to direct the new adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg's 1981 book.
The reboot will release in the US on July 28, 2017. It will be a reunion between Black and Kasdan after their 2000 comedy "Orange County".
The original "Jumanji" released in 1995 and starred Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, David Alan Grier, Bonnie Hunt, Jonathan Hyde, and Bebe Neuwirth.
