Jackal comes calling at Kochi airport

The airport here today received an unusual visitor when a jackal sauntered into the operational area, taking everyone by surprise.
The animal was noticed by bird watchers at the airport.
Immediately a trap was laid and the animal caught and handed over to the forest officials, Airport Director A C K Nair told PTI.
The animal had not gone anywhere near the runway, he added.
