Gujarat Lions owner Keshav Bansal today praised India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja but said his performance will be crucial for the team's success in the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In the IPL, Jadeja plays for Gujarat Lions and the team starts their campaign on April 7 at the SCA stadium here against Kolkata Knight Riders.
"(Ravindra) Jadeja has been in great form and doing well for the country in the ongoing test series against Australia. He was rewarded by becoming world number one bowler in the recently announced ICC rankings", Bansal told reporters here.
"He (Jadeja) has been in great rhythm and expectations are high from the team that he would deliver his best. His performance would be the key for team's success in IPL-10," Bansal added.
Meanwhile, Bansal hinted that West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who plays for his team, may miss the first couple of matches due to an injury.
"Bravo may miss initial couple of matches duo to injury," Bansal said but refused to give details about the nature of the injury.
He also said that the Gujarat Lions have a good team and skipper Suresh Raina is working hard in the nets.
"Last time, our bowling was a bit weak and this time we want to make it stronger and chose players accordingly to strengthen our bowling," added Bansal.
