The power producer had a net loss of Rs 97.58 crore in the year-ago period.
The company's total income stood at Rs 513.83 crore in the quarter under review as compared to Rs 438.31 crore in the year-ago period, Jaiprakash Power Ventures said in a regulatory filing.
"The corresponding figures of the quarter/period in the previous year are only for 300 MW Baspa II H.E. (Hydro Electric) Plant, 400 MW Jaypee Vishnuprayag H.E. Plant and 1,000 MW Jaypee Karcham Wangtoo H.E. Plant and 250 MW Jaypee Bina thermal power plant and hence not comparable," the filing added.
Shares of the company declined nearly two per cent to close at Rs 12.77 on the BSE.
