Holding an obituary meeting here, P L Mimroth, Chairman of CDR, said the central government should award "Bharat Ratna" to former Supreme Court Judge Iyer in recognition of his admirable service to the down-trodden, voiceless, disadvantaged, and marginalised groups through his unique judgement and outstanding contribution in accordance to Human Rights values.
In a statement here, Mimroth said Justice Iyer had also rendered his services as an outstanding Human Rights crusader, Jurist, and revolutionary judge making important judgements in his career.
