The wave of sexual harassment allegations against James Franco has taken a toll on the actor.
A source close to "The Disaster Artist" actor told People Magazine that Franco is struggling with the aftermath of the allegations against him.
Franco was one of the notable omissions from this year's Academy Awards nominations. He was expected to get a nod in the Best Actor category for his portrayal of filmmaker Tommy Wiseau in "The Disaster Artist", which he also directed.
"His team wants him to continue making public appearances. He thinks he can save his image. He looks like he hasn't slept for days. He's just a mess," the source said.
"This whole process has been very hard on him. He's been shaken up," another source said.
Franco has been accused of harassment by five women. The claims surfaced post his Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy win at the Golden Globes for "The Disaster Artist"
He also received the Critics' Choice Award for his role but gave the ceremony a miss. Franco, however, attended the SAG Awards, which marked his first public appearance since the allegations surfaced.
Franco was accused online and in a Los Angeles Times report, after he showed up wearing the 'Time's Up' pin, like many other Hollywood stars, at the Globes
The 'Time's Up' campaign was launched by women in Hollywood to fight against sexual harassment in the wake of Harvey Weinstein expose.
