Jammu witnesses anti-Pak rallies for 3rd consecutive day

Jammu today witnessed anti-Pakistan rallies for the third consecutive day with protesters burning Pakistani flags and effigy and demanding the government to give "befitting reply" to the neighbour .
A protest rally was held by District Congress Committee, Jammu Urban at the Press Club here.
A large number of Congress workers assembledoutside the venue and burnt the effigy of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif amid slogans against the country for abetting terrorism andsending terrorists across to India.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena also took out a candle march in Jammu city to express condolences for the martyred soldiers.

While addressing the gathering, its President Ashok Gupta said the central government in Delhi got elected with the 2/3rd majority from the people and now after the Uri attack the sentiment in the entire nation is that "Pak should be taught a lesson like Bangladesh war".
To pay tributes to the soldiers, Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) organized a protest-cum-tribute rally for the martyrs at Maharaja Hari Singh statue Tawi Bridge, here.

Speaking on the occasion, JPPF President Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj condemned the "Pakistan-sponsored fidayeen attack" on the military base camp at Uri.
He accused Pakistan of waging a "proxy war" against India by "encouraging militancy and communal tension" in Kashmir Valley which has now extended to parts of Jammu province and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a "befitting reply" to Pakistan.

Lashing out at the PDP-BJP coalition government, another group that took out a protest rally, Team Jammu, alleged the government has "disrespected" the martyred soldiers and demanded immediate compensation for the next of kin of the soldiers.
"It is unfortunate that many states has come forward and extended helping hand to the soldiers from Bihar, UP, Maharashtra and Jharkhand martyred in Uri attack but unfortunately, Jammu and Kashmir government is yet to utter a word regarding relief to two soldiers from Jammu, who were among those who died," Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal said.
"Stone pelters and those instigating violence in Kashmir Valley are being given due consideration," he said, adding it is "shameful and condemnable" that those who rendered service to the state and the nation are not given due attention.
