Jawan attempts suicide by shooting self, injured

An Army jawan attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sepoy Dharamveer deployed along LoC in Krishnagati (KG) belt of Poonch fired at himself with his service rifle resulting in injuries late last night, defence spokesman said.
He was shifted to Northern Command hospital in Udhampur, where he is undergoing treatment, he said adding that he belongs to Rajasthan and is unmarried.
