Jawan dies of cardiac arrest in J&K

An Army jawan died today after allegedly suffering from a cardiac arrest while on official duty in Bandipora district of north Kashmir, police said.
The jawan, a Naib Subedar, was on Road Opening Patrol (ROP) duty at Paribal in Aloosa area, 55 kms from here, when he suddenly collapsed, they said.
He said the soldier was immediately shifted to the hospital where he was declared brought dead by doctors.
The body has been sent to the base hospital here for legal formalities, police added.
