The body of BSF jawan with two bullet injury marks was found near Srimantapur Land Custom Station (LCS) in Tripura's Sepahijala district, around 60 Km from here, police said.
Sources in the Border Security Force (BSF) claimed that the jawan opened two rounds of fire from his service weapon to commit suicide around 2 am.
Sekhar Lal Bhattacharjee, the officer-in charge of Sonamura police station in the district, said the bullet- riddled body of a BSF jawan K M Mishra (50) was found lying near the land custom station in the morning.
"It seems Mishra shot himself with his rifle as two bullet injury marks were identified on his body. We are carrying out an investigation to find out the details," he said.
