Upset over denial of the Lok Sabha ticket, JD(U) MP Vishwa Mohan Kumar today resigned from his party and joined the BJP.
Accompanied by hundreds of supporters, Kumar joined the BJP at a function at its office here in the presence of party's state unit chief Mangal Pandey.
Speaking on the occasion, the JD(U) MP from Supaul hit out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for giving tickets to outsiders while ignoring rightful claims of leaders like him who had stood by Kumar and the ruling party in the past one decade.
The JD(U) has replaced Kumar with Dineshwar Kamat on Supaul Lok Sabha seat.
In another boost to the BJP, former minister Virendra Kumar Kushwaha joined the party with his supporters.
