"The polling was held peacefully and with no report of any untoward incident from anywhere. While about 45 per cent votes were polled in five Graduate constituencies, 66 per cent polling was witnessed in six Teachers constituencies," Chief Electoral Officer Umesh Sinha told reporters here.
The Graduate constituencies are Lucknow, Varanasi, Allahabad, Agra and Meerut, while the Teachers constituencies are Bareilly, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Meerut and Agra.
There are around 11.94 lakh voters in Graduate constituencies and 1.47 lakh voters in Teachers constituencies.
