Jennifer Lopez to star in new NBC series

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez is all set to star NBC's new TV series 'Shades of Blue'.
The series is about an FBI undercover agent and will have 13 episodes in the first season, reported Ace Showbiz.
"Whether it is producing, acting, singing or any of her other many entrepreneurial activities, Jennifer is an extraordinary talent and life force, and we are delighted to be in business with her on this sophisticated show," Jennifer Salke, NBC Entertainment President, said.
Adi Hasak of '3 Days to Kill' has written the series and also serves as the executive producer of the venture along with Ryan Seacrest.

"The script is so powerful and ambitious, we can't wait to see Jennifer take on this remarkable role. Bob Greenblatt and Jen Salke's enthusiasm and support has been incredible, and we look forward to working with everyone at NBC," Seacrest who is currently working with Lopez on 'American Idol' said.
The production of 'Shades of Blue' is set to begin in 2015.
