Lifetime has cancelled the series in which Hewitt, 34, plays Riley Parks, a mother, who is struggling hard to provide for her family, said the Hollywood Reporter.
It was reported in June that there were lengthy negotiations on how the show would incorporate Hewitt's real-life pregnancy into the story.
The actress, who was executive producer of the show, wanted the pregnancy written into the series. She also desired her real-life fiance Brian Hallisay to play her baby's on- screen father.
The producers reportedly did not sit well with Hewitt's demands and it delayed the third season.
