Jet seeks shareholders' nod to appoint D K Mittal as Ind Dir

Jet Airways has sought shareholders' approval for appointing Dinesh Kumar Mittal as an independent director of the company.
An Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the members of the company will be held on November 1, 2014, the company said in a notice to shareholders.
"Mittal be and is hereby appointed as an Independent Director of the company for a period of one year or till the conclusion of the 23rd Annual General Meeting whichever is earlier," it said.
He has served on boards of RBI, SBI, Exim Bank of India, LIC, IIFCL and IIFCL (UK) and also served as the Managing Director of IL&FS Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.
Mittal has also served as secretary Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Department of Financial Services, Government of India.
