The website FlightAware.Com said the plane, a Socata TBM-700 that departed Rochester, New York for Naples, Florida, was approaching Cuban airspace.
"The aircraft continues to be followed by NORAD jets," the North American Aerospace Defense Command said in a statement, adding it was monitoring the situation in close coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration.
