As per a press release issued by Diti Jewellers, a subsidiary of Shrenuj and Company Ltd, the theft came to light last week when its Manager and In-charge of stores across Delhi NCR, Vishal Luthra went missing with jewellery worth Rs 1.4 crore from a Shoppers Stop store here.
Repeated efforts to locate the absconding accused and his family went in vain following which the company lodged a complaint at the DLF Phase II Police Station on May 11.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Deepak Sharan said that the matter is under investigation and police would soon trace the culprit.
