Dave had devoted his life to environmental issues and the country has lost a committed environmentalist and worthy politician, and it will be difficult to fill the void, the chief minister said.
State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Roy condoled Dave's death and said that he has lost a personal friend and a colleague who was serious about environmental issues.
"The fateful loss is irreparable. I condole his sad departure with tearful eyes and pray to God to place the pious soul in heavenly abode," Roy said.
