Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today accused the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) of cheating the tribals and said that the state will become 'JMM-mukt Jharkhand' in future.
According to him, if there is any political party that exploited the tribals, it is the JMM.
"Like 'Congress-mukt Bharat', there will be 'JMM-mukt Jharkhand'," Das said at a press conference here.
Das said, the condition of tribals have not improved despite the JMM being part of governments ever since the creation of Jharkhand.
"But now the tribals have become aware," Das said.
Accusing both the Congress and the JMM for creating political instability in the state, Das said, the people of the Jharkhand punished them in the hustings.
Das also said that if one analysed the elections held recently - in Karnataka or in any other state - the youth are voting for development and employment.
He said that his government would begin a month-long development programmes from June 30 this year in honour of tribal heroes Sidho and Kanho.
June 30 is observed as 'Hul divas' in Jharkhand.
During the month-long programme, the government would identify 500 persons in populated tribal areas and implement various schemes in those areas, Das said.
