Jindal Mectec sets up PUF panel plant at Rs 70-cr investment

Jindal Mectec has set up a PUF panel plant, used in cold stores, with an investment of Rs 70 crore in Indore, which has an annual capacity of 18 lakh sqm.
The plant will be inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday.
Poly Urethane Foam (PUF) panels are used in cold storage, telecom shelters, living Shelters, clean room, temperature control cabins and refrigeration systems. These panels helps in keeping the interior temperature of the room low.
"The new plant set up with a capital outlay of Rs 70 crore is built on a 10-acre plot. It is based on the latest european technology to manufacture insulated PUF panels for the refrigerated and industrial buildings segment, using an ozone friendly process," Jindal Mectec Chairman Pawan Jindal said.

When fully operational, the plant will employ 150 people and will have a production capacity of 18 lakh square meters of PUF panels per year, he added.
"While the existing plant at HP primarily meets the requirements of its customers in northern India, the new facility in Pithampur, MP, will better address the growing needs of its industrial customers in Central and Western India," he said.
The company also manufactures refrigerated trucks, refrigerated doors and clean rooms. It mainly deals in cold insulation solutions and has a plant at Nalagarh in Himachal Pradesh.
