JIPMER to launch health check up for students

Teams of doctors from JIPMER, a premier health institute here, would soon launch a special health check up among students in higher secondary schools in the Union Territory to particularly assess the Blood Pressure (BP) level of the youth.
There was need for everyone to monitor BP to prevent occurrence ailments. JIPMER Director Dr S C Parija in a release said today on the occasion of "Great Indian BP Survey" conducted by Cardiological Society of India and the Departments of Cardiology and Preventive and Social Medicine.
He said JIPMER would soon launch a BP check up programme among students in higher secondary schools.
