JK DGP reviews law and order situation ahead of 'Darbar Move'

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police S P Vaid today reviewed the overall security scenario in the state, while discussing arrangements for the 'Darbar Move' from the winter capital to Srinagar.
In a video interaction with the senior officers of various wings of the police, the DGP stressed the need for area domination, especially along Srinagar-Jammu National Highway for the security of Srinagar-based employees moving from Jammu on April 29 and 30.
Similarly, the Jammu-based employees would move towards the summer capital on May 6 and May 7.
Vaid called for synergised mechanism to ensure safe and hassle-free movement of employees as also the official records.
He particularly stressed the need for regulation of traffic along the highway and the twin cities. For this, he sought regular monitoring by seniors of the police.
The DGP also instructed for beefing up of security in the summer capital to ensure smooth functioning of the offices.
He also asked the traffic police to redouble their efforts to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
The DGP also issued instructions for setting up of police assistance booths, deployment of recovery vans and mobile police control vans for assistance of moving employees and the general public.
Vaid discussed in detail the prevailing law and order situation across the state and called for close rapport between the police and security forces for ensuring peace and normalcy.
