Various terrorist groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir are receiving funds through different Hawala channels which are routed through Gulf and other countries, Lok Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said the terrorist groups are receiving the funds from various sources through different Hawala channels which are routed through Gulf and other countries by their mentors for spreading terrorist activities in the state.
"As per the report of the Jammu and Kashmir government, six cases have been registered of which four have been challaned for judicial determination," he said in reply to a written question.
Replying to another question, Chaudhary said training camps are being organised in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir for carrying out terrorist activities and spreading anarchy in the country.
The Minister said that according to reports there are several terrorist training camps in PoK of various outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mijahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammad which are used for training and subsequently for infiltrating trained militants into Jammu and Kashmir.
Chaudhary said India has repeatedly emphasised, including at the highest level, the need for Pakistan to uphold the sanctity of the Line of Control and abide by the ceasefire commitment of 2003 and commitment to prevent territory under its control from being used for terrorism against India.
He said 57 encounters have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014 in which 110 terrorists were killed and 70 others were arrested. A total of 47 security personnel have also lost their lives.
