The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today expressed deep shock over the brutal killings of 39 Indians by ISIS in Iraq even as it accused the Centre of keeping the nation in dark over the issue.
It was unfortunate that the Government of India was clueless about these killings. There were already apprehensions and reports about these gruesome killings but the government continuously denied it earlier and kept the nation in dark, JKPCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma said in a statement here.
Describing the killings by ISIS as a crime against humanity, the Congress leader said terrorism is a global threat and there is no place for violence in any religion.
Those mindless people indulging in barbaric acts are on the path of self destruction and would achieve nothing except bringing miseries for themselves as well as a large number of fellow human beings, he said.
