JKSFC earns Rs 98 cr from sale of timber this fiscal

The Jammu and Kashmir State Forest Corporation (JKSFC) has earned a revenue of Rs 97.95 crore from sale of 18.56 lakh cft timber till December during the current fiscal.
This information was shared during a meeting of the Committee on Public Undertakings of the J&K Legislative Assembly here today.
MLA Mohammad Sharief Niaz, who chaired the meeting, asked JKSFC officials to ensure availability of timber at all forest departments and JKSFC outlets.
The Committee directed the officials to furnish a detailed report about the unsold timber lying in depots and about losses caused due to rotting of timber.
