"The JMM has a policy and vision, which was seen during the 14-month Hemant Soren government. I am committed to serve the people of the state," Marik told reporters here.
He said he has roots in Godda and belongs to the Kareria village of the district.
"My father was an MLA from Godda in 1957," he said.
Marik and Shashibhusan Mehta sat together at a press conference where JMM's working president and former chief minister Hemant Soren announced their names for Godda and Panki Assembly constituencies respectively.
