"Big Yellow Taxi" hitmaker Joni Mitchell's conservator has denied singer David Crosby's claim that she was unable to speak post her brain aneurysm surgery.
It was confirmed, last month, that Mitchell had suffered a brain aneurysm, when she was found unconscious in March.
Crosby, in a recent interview, said Mitchell, 71, was unable to speak and would struggle to recover from the "traumatic brain surgery."
Morris has, however, stated the veteran singer "did in fact suffer an aneurysm" but "she is speaking well."
"Joni did in fact suffer an aneurysm. However, details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculative. The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she's speaking well.
"She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies. She is resting comfortably in her own home and she's getting better each day. A full recovery is expected," the statement read.
