Jowar slips on reduced offtake

In restricted activity, jowar prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market Friday on easing demand from consuming industries.

However, other grains held steady in thin trade.

Traders said besides fall in demand from consuming industries, ample stocks position, led to decline in jowar prices.

In the national capital, jowar yellow and white were down by Rs 50 each 1,600-1,650 and Rs 2,800-2,850 per quintal, respectively.
