A Jammu-based organisation, representing cross-section of people, today demanded CBI probe into the communal riots in Kishtwar, alleging that it was part of a "conspiracy to force another mass exodus of minority community".
The organisation, Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF), also demanded that the DIG and Dy SP of the area be transfered immediately.
"Communal riots in Kishtwar district was a part of conspiracy to force another mass exodus of minority community from the areas of Kishtwar, Bhaderwah and Doda as the anti-national forces could not succeed and failed to do so during the riots of 1993, 1998, 2003 and 2008," JPPF President Pavitter Singh Bhardwaj told reporters here.
"We demand transfer of DIG of the range and Dy SP Kishtwar and a CBI probe into Kishtwar violence on August 9," he added.
He said the minority community has lost faith in the civil administration and police "who are implicating innocent youth in false cases.
