The two were arrested following a complaint registered with ACB by the contractor, superintendent of police Manoj Kumar said.
This was the 32nd such incident in Jharkhand since the beginning of this year, ACB sources said.
Kumar said the drinking water and sanitation department had allotted work to sink a tube well to the contractor and had also issued the work order.
The contractor had even received the first installment of the allotted money following progress in work but the duo had been pressurising him to pay them a bribe of Rs 70,000.
The ACB sleuths verified the allegations made by the contractor and on finding them to be valid arrested the two men from their office in Chaibasa while accepting the bribe.
