today said the company is mostly dependent on imports to meet its coal requirements for power generation and steel making in Odisha.
"We are importing 100 per cent of coking coal that we require. Fifty per cent of the coal required for power generation is also being imported," Jindal told reporters after meeting Odisha Chief Secretary A P Padhi here.
Stating that he requested the state government to improve raw material availability in Odisha, Jindal said the company's 6 mtpa Angul steel making facility will produce various types of plates, TMT re-bars and billets.
"We are making different types of steel plates which are upto 5 m wide, the widest in the world and can also be used in ship building, tank making, large construction and other related industries," Jindal said.
