The three-quarter-length sleeved gown had an inner chiffon layer paired with an over-coat, detailing the intricate Lucknowi chikan work. The outfit, which had pearl buttons lined in the front, had slits at both the sides.
The 78-year-old actress completed the look with necklaces, diamond earrings, a few bangles around one wrist and a small glittering silver clutch.
Dench was at the festival to promote her latest film "Philomena" written by Steve Coogan and directed by Stephen Frears.
