A total of 10 persons, including the husband of the bride and in-laws were arrested in connection with the case at Domjur police station in Howrah district, additional public prosecutor (APP) Mintu Pramanik, said here.
"While Bijoy Krishna Chowdhury, first class judicial magistrate-cum-additional munsif 10 of Motihari court in Purba Champaran district of Bihar, and eight others were granted interim bail, the husband Rajiv Mondal was given 14 days judicial custody by the CJM in-charge of Howrah district court," Pramanik said.
The bride complained that the accused persons had threatened her and tried to kidnap her from her parent's home in Domjur, where she was at present residing, the APP said.
