The signature bridge, costing Rs 1131 crores and having a length of 675m, is expected to be ready by September this year, according to a press statement issued by the LG's office.
Jung, who reviewed the project today, expressed his displeasure at the delays that have occurred and directed the officials to order the agency concerned to expedite all the processes.
He also asked the Chief Secretary to hold an immediate meeting with the agency concerned to sort out the pending matters and to see that the project gets completed at the earliest.
Jung will review the project in a month's time.
Due to non-availability of a portion of the land, pending forest clearance from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forest, the project got delayed.
