Delhi's Lt Governor Najeeb Jung today took a review meeting of the Revenue Department to get an update on the work being carried out in each district.
Jung instructed the Deputy Commissioners to monitor the electricity supply being provided by BSES and TPDDL and keep a tab on the power outages so that general public does not suffer during the summer.
He directed them to monitor the supply of water in their area and asked them to take necessary steps to keep a check on illegal water suppliers.
He also asked the Deputy Commissioners to coordinate with civic agencies like Municipal Corprations, Public Works Department and Delhi Jal Board among others in ensuring that desilting of drains in their respective districts are carried out, in order to avoid water logging during the forthcoming monsoon.
Jung also stressed on regular supply of medicines in the hospitals and also emphasised on making the OPDs comfortable for the waiting patients, by taking necessary steps to reduce the waiting time, providing drinking water, coolers and proper and adequate waiting areas.
He also instructed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that the 'Dhalaos' in their districts are cleared so that hygiene is maintained.
