Cavill shared the information during an interview on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", reported Aceshowbiz.
"'Justice League', I think we start pre-production on that in January," Cavill said.
The 32-year-old actor said that he was currently in "off season" which means that he is not being involved in the filming of any Superman movie, noting that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" had already been in post-production.
Cavill will be seen in his superman role in "Justice League".
Zack Snyder will direct the movie with a script by Chris Terrio and David S Goyer.
Produced by Dan Lin and Doug Mitchell, "Justice League" is scheduled to be released in North America on November 12, 2017.
