The incident occurred last evening when some boys were playing on a school ground.
While playing, an argument ensued between two boys, aged 13 and 14, respectively, as one of them insisted that he was not out.
"An argument broke out between them and they left the ground. But, after few minutes, the 14-year-old boy while passing in front of the house of the 13-year-old boy entered into a scuffle and allegedly hit the latter hard on his neck with his fist," a Shamshabad Rural police station official said.
"Though, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, the doctors there declared him brought dead," the official said.
A case of murder has been registered, and the 14-year-old juvenile has been apprehended.
Both the accused and the deceased were students of class 8.
