Jyoti murder case: Court grants bail to in-laws

A local court today granted bail to parents and two brothers of Piyush Shyam Dasani in connection with the murder of his wife Jyoti.
Piyush's parents and brothers were arrested along with him after he confessed to have got his wife, Jyoti, killed with the help of his driver as he was having an affair with another woman.
Jyoti's body, with multiple stab wounds, was found inside Piyush's car on July 28 in Panki area of the district.
Prabhakar Chaudhury, SP, City, today said Piyush's parents Oam Shyamdasani and Poonam Shyamdasani along with brothers Mukesh and Kamlesh, who were arrested under Section 202 of IPC (for not providing information to police), were today granted bail.

The crime under Section 202 of IPC is a non cognisable offence and the maximum punishment under the Section is up to six months, he said, adding that the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate today granted them bail after hearing the arguments of both defence and prosecution.
The SP said a case under Section 302 of IPC (murder) against Piyush, his girlfriend, driver of his girlfriend Avdhesh along with three other persons Renu, Sonu and Ashish was lodged and they are in jail.
