The election results in Karnataka proved once again that people of this country favour the "together with all, development for all" mantra of the BJP over the "casteist and divisive politics" of the Congress , Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said today.
The CM attributed the party's "tremendous performance" in Karnataka assembly polls to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah and the people of the state.
"The political pundits and the opposition parties had said that Karnataka assembly elections would be the semifinal test ahead of the finals in 2019 Lok Sabha polls. And the results today just proved that the Congress' anti-people and anti-development polices have been rejected by the people," Das said.
The BJP's pro-people schemes and development-oriented policies, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have won the hearts of 125 crore citizens of the country, Das said.
"When the BJP formed the government at the Centre in 2014, the party had eight states and now it is edging towards forming government in the 21st state," the chief minister said.
The "vijay rath of vikas" has traversed across north India, entered North-east states and now reached the doors of the south through Karnataka, he claimed.
When told that Karnataka is still waiting for a clear mandate, Das said he had firm belief that the BJP would form the government in the southern state.
"The Congress, at some point of time, was the biggest party of the country. Back then, the party had Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi as leaders. Today it has become a party of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra. This dynastic politics of the Congress did not find favour with the public," he added.
