"RBI accorded its approval for re-appointment of K Venkataraman as MD and CEO of Karur Vysya Bank for a further period of three years with effect from June 1, 2014 to May 31, 2017", the Tamil Nadu-based bank said in a BSE filing.
Venkataraman assumed the charge of MD and CEO at the bank in June 2011. He holds a Post-Graduate degree in Science and has an experience of more than three decades in banking industry, it said.
Prior to joining Karur Vysya Bank, he was serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at SBI Global Factors, Mumbai, it added.
