Kanpur Zoo's oldest tiger dead
Guddu, who was 26 years and eight months old, died yesterday, Zoo Director K Thomas said.
The tiger had not eaten anything for the past one week, he said, adding that doctors had kept it under observation.
The postmortem was conducted yesterday and the last rites were performed, the Director said.
Guddu was brought here from Chandigarh Zoo on May 13, 2000 when it was 13 years old.
