Kapas futures down Rs 7 a quintal

Kapas prices slipped by Rs 7 to Rs 881 per 20 kg in evening session at futures trade today as speuclators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend at the spot market.
The exchange remained closed for the morning session on account of 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by particpants, tracking a weak trend at the spot markts, m ainly led to fall in prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, kapas for delivery in April next year month contracts eased by Rs 7, or 0.79 per cent to Rs 881 per 20 kilo, with an open interest of 10,489 lots.
