Lieutenant General Jagbir Singh, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area, led serving and retired officers and jawans of the three Forces in paying their respects by laying a wreath at the War Memorial here.
A two minute silence was observed by the personnel on the occasion, a Defence release said.
The solemn ceremony is conducted at various War Memorials in the country to pay homage to the soldiers of all three Services who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation during May-July 1999 Kargil conflict, it said.
