All the facilities provided in the library were lying in deplorable condition due to "political vendetta" of one person, he said, in a statement, referring to some media reports on its present state.
"Is this the fate for the library which was constructed in memory of late Chief Minister C N Annadurai who echoed the need for a library in every household?" he asked.
Referring to the newly built Secretariat building which has since been converted into super speciality hospital, he said, "just because it was inaugurated under my leadership in the presence of (then) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President, Sonia Gandhi and other Chief Ministers, the building is not serving the purpose. Only the tax payers' money has gone waste.", he said.
