The 37-year-old star, whose last offering was 2010 track "Free To Love Again" that suffered from poor sales and was criticised for relying heavily on autotune, took to Twitter to make the announcement.
After pop star Karava revealed the pair were working together, Katie took to Twitter to clarify, "I did a favour 4 @kavana_official but NEVER discussed doing duet in fact I'm in studio recording my own tracks solo (sic)."
Price's tweet came after "I Can Make You Feel Good" hitmaker Kavana insisted they were working on a duet.
Price enjoyed hits with her ex-husband Peter Andre, 42, including a cover of Disney's classic "A Whole New World" in 2006.
She also auditioned to be the UK's "Eurovision Song Contest" entry in 2005 with "Not Just Anybody" but lost out to singer Javine.
