The 44-year-old "Scary Movie 5" actor was detained by cops on Sunday morning for assaulting the female worker at Sportsmen's Lodge restaurant in Sherman Oaks, California, reported Aceshowbiz.
Details of her alleged altercation with the celebrity are still unknown, but police noticed that she had visible injuries when they arrived on the scene.
Williams is now in police custody and his bail has been set at USD 20,000.
The is not the first time the stand-up has got himself into trouble. In April, he was arrested for battery after allegedly attacking a Georgia, Atlanta restaurant's manager with a salt shaker.
