KEC International Q3 net profit falls 44% to Rs 37 crore

Infrastructure firm KEC International today reported 44 per cent decline in its net profit to Rs 37.16 crore for the quarter ended December 2015.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 66.45 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Its total income from operations during the quarter stood at Rs 2,058.83 crore as against Rs 2,021.19 crore in the year-ago quarter of the previous fiscal.
The company's total expenses stood at Rs 1,920.11 crore during the quarter as against Rs 1,971.33 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
The company is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major with presence across power transmission, power systems, cables, railways, telecom and water space.
It claims to have done infrastructure development in over 60 countries besides executing projects in inhospitable terrains.
Shares of KEC International today closed 2.48 per cent down at Rs 117.95 apiece on BSE.
