"I have expressed the Puducherry government's willingness to the Consul General of Malaysia to consider tourism and industrial sector for development through investment by Malaysian government and its entrepreneurs," he told reporters.
Narayanasamy said such investments would help the UT make rapid strides in industrial as well as tourism sectors, resulting in employment generation.
He said Puducherry and Karaikal offered good scope for developing software technology parks and also processing of sea food.
Puducherry government would also consider extending several sops and concessions in taxes to Malaysian entrepreneurs to lure investments.
A technical team from Malaysia would soon visit Puducherry to hold talks with the Chief Secretary, Narayanasamy said.
On the Puducherry airport runway expansion, he said it would be expanded and the required site falling under the neighbouring Tamil Nadu would also be sought by holding talks with the Tamil Nadu government, he said.
