Kejriwal avoiding to meet on water crisis: Delhi BJP leaders

BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma and the party MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa today accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of "evading" them when they tried to meet him over "water crisis" in the city.
The two leaders accompanied by party workers reached Kejriwal's residence at Civil Lines and demanded for a meeting with him. The officials at CM House however turned down their request citing his "busy" schedule.
The angry duo broke pitchers outside Kejriwal's residence as a mark of protest and accused him of "enjoying holiday" on a working day.
"We were trying to meet the chief minister for the last two days but an appointment was refused saying that he was busy. As a last resort, we decided to meet him at his residence but he went away from the back door," they told reporters.

Sirsa claimed that the officials deputed at the chief minister's residence made them wait for two hours and finally told that he cannot meet them because he was "busy".
"We waited for 2 hours to apprise him of the crisis being faced by the people of Delhi and ask him to take immediate steps, but the officials told us he was busy."

Later, they also tried to meet Kejriwal at South Avenue where he had gone to meet with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee.
They were however stopped at a barricade erected by police near the venue of the meeting.

Sirsa charged Kejriwal of "pursuing his political agenda" while "evading a meeting with public representatives who wanted to raise a genuine issue" before him.
He said that a letter was written to Kejriwal a few days ago to apprise him about the "alarming situation" due to water crisis but no steps were taken to meet the challenge.
"We have received thousands of complaints from residents of West Delhi in the last few days regarding acute shortage of water. People are asking for our help," he added.
