Launching a scathing attack on rival BJP, AAP chief ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal today dubbed the NDA-led alliance at Centre as a 'U-turn government', saying that the saffron party had turned its back on all the promises made before the Lok Sabha elections.
"They had said they would do development, now they say they will do conversions, love jihad and make statues of (Nathuram) Godse," he said referring to controversies such as alleged forceful conversions and demand for statue of Mahatma Gandhi's killer Nathuram Godse by some outfits.
Addressing rallies in Patel Nagar constituency here, Kejriwal further attacked the BJP-led NDA government on the issue of pricing of essential drugs saying that their prices had been raised tenfold by the government to "favour" some companies.
The former Delhi chief minister took on the establishment over issues of corruption, inflation and black money.
"Everybody had thought that after black money comes to India, each person will get Rs 15 lakh in his Jan Dhan account but the reality is no one has got a single penny," he said.
Highlighting the achievements of his 49-day government in Delhi, he asked, "If we were able to reduce the power and water bills in 49 days, how has the government not been able to do anything for the people's respite in 6 months?"
He further promised to lower the electricity rates to half in the capital on coming to power.
Cautioning people on money or sops being offered by other parties, he said, "They will offer you blankets, sarees and money...Don't say no to them. Accept everything, it is your money but vote for AAP.
